Hi, my name is Karen Ulrich, and I created Alameda Wine Company, a new winebar and shop in the historic Alameda Theater Building. I have wanted to share my with the experience that wine does not have to be expensive to be well-made and taste good. That is why I want to bring you superior small-production, hand-crafted wines from around the world which provide great value for your dollar.
Try before you buy these wines at my stylish, relaxing, jazz-themed bar. I offer a changing biweekly selection of 25 wines available by the 6 ounce glass or 3 ounce taste, at prices below industry standard. I also serve specialty beers and classic European aperitifs.
My retail section stocks nearly 200 hand-selected labels. Choose a bottle to take home or to enjoy at the bar for one of the lowest corkage fees around. My extensive wine knowledge and deep commitment to helping you find the wine that will taste good to you will make your tasting and shopping experience of wine a memorable one.
I exclusivley use Schott-Zwiessel lead-free crystal stemware, and my food products come from some of the Bay Area's finest artisanal purveyors such as The Fatted Calf, JP Seafood Co and Feel Good Bakery.
Alameda Wine Company is located in the heart of the Park Street Business District, next to the beautifully restored Alameda Theater Main Entrance, with easy parking in the adjacent garage. We are open 7 days a week, 11:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M.
